If hwy driving I would recommend Transforce HT Just replaced 6 on my 06 dually and traveled 68000 miles with zero issues on firest set. I was stupid enough to run Michelin for years and never as in never reached 40k Just sayin.......
Honestly most on here who've ran Transforce HTs will tell you they're garbage (myself included). The most I've gotten out of a set was about 40k miles.

I'm running Michelin Defender LTX right now. They have ~50k miles on them and still look new. I WANT Discoverer AT3s, but I can't justify it right now with how well these Defenders have done. I also installed the same ones on my wife's Armada and she's put almost 70k miles on them. Still aren't to the wear bars.

OP - Just about the only tire "Failures" I've had were from Destination tires (LE and ATs). Most of the tire it was from belts breaking and bubbles forming in the sidewalls or the tread. We stopped buying Firestone altogether because of it.

My suggestion based on what I've had good experience with are Michelins or Cooper Discoverer. Michelins if you want highway tires or Discoverer AT3s if you want AT tires. Just my $.02.

I would never use Firestone tires. I had 2 tires come apart on me and my brother had 1 come apart and tore up the bed on his truck. I've also seen other people have issues with them as well.

On my current truck, I'm running Goodyear Wrangler Authority 275/60-20 (from Wal-Mart). 18k miles on them and they still look good. They are pretty good in the rain, don't know about Snow as Vegas rarely gets any.

I absolutely hated the Pirelli Scorpions on my truck! 3 sets before the balancing issues were resolved.

Ok, that's interesting. I knew my wheels were off balance when I had the Scorpions on there. I just figured the wheels needed to be re-balanced, and I'd just deal with it when I got new tires. Now I'm wondering if the Scorpions were causing the balance issue. Because the truck drives so much better now.

We had Scorpions on our old Expedition. They were terrible tires. I think we managed about 30k out of them before they were out of round and had to be replaced.
