Hi all,
I have had a p0138 (o2 circuit high voltage B1S2) on and off for about a year now. I recently replaced that o2 (downstream, one cat on my 03 Hemi) with a new NGK sensor. All was well for about a month, and today the engine light popped on again. Did the key turn trick and came up with a p0420. Great, I fixed the o2 sensor so it could now read a bad cat. Win for me
lol. Truck has 210,000 miles on it, original cat, so I'm sure that's the problem. Truck runs great, and cash is in short supply (burnt a lot of heating oil this year being -20 degrees for three months in northern NH lol), so i need to put off the replacement of the can for a bit while I save up.
Question is: who has had luck with the spark plug non-fouler trick in these trucks? I did on on a Jeep I had, and with no cats at all, never once got a check engine light, but haven't tried it on any thing else.
Anyone have any luck with this?
