Hey everyone, I'm a bit new to the truck stuff so I was just going to ask for some advice on some good looking all terrain tires for my stock 20 inch rims. I've looked at the toyo open country at2 extremes and like them but I'd like to know what others use and prefer. I plan on getting a leveling kit as well and am also curious to as if I need spacers or not. With the leveling kit what size tires will I be able to fit on the stock 20x9s? Thanks everyone! Here's some pics of my truck

I have Cooper Discoverer ATPs in the stock 275/60 R20 size and like them. My understanding is they're a Discount Tire exclusive. They're pretty quiet on the road and have a somewhat aggressive look. Milder looking than a mud terrain but semi aggressive. I only have about 1k miles on them but so far so good. They also have a 55k mile warranty. Not sure if they come any larger than what i have though. Just my 2 cents.

Good tire.

I prefer, however, my Cooper Discoverer AT3 in 275/65/20. It's also an "E" rated tire, so if you ever want to tow/haul you've got the right tire for the job.

When not towing, they are as quiet as stock and just as comfortable. I paid just about $1300 OTD for a set of four.

Actually considering the Nitto Trail Grapplers since I'm already going to be spending a ton on them either way. But I do haul a 3100 pound stock car in a 22 foot trailer regularly so would mud tires be a bad idea? And also wondering if anyone has pics with the stocks with trail grapplers

One word of caution, the trail grapplers are heavy.

Agreed.

That, and Mud tires are going to get eaten VERY quickly when towing. If you do a LOT of towing, I would suggest two sets of tires. A decent "D" or "E" rated towing tire, and then a set of fun muds.

I got the DuraTracs from Goodyear, so far they are great.

I dont have 20s or even a 4th gen but on my 3rd gen with stock 17s im running 285/70/17 (just shy of 33s) Nitto Terra Grapplers and lovem. Theyre E rated for any towing and have more traction than any hwy tire ive driven on in all conditions. Mind you, theyre almost entire road going tires to the exception of the snow we get during the winters and the beaches in the summer. Never gotten stuck, even in 2wd, and never really saw a change in mpgs or ride quality.
As for what you can stuff under there, im not sure what the limit is, but from what i understand, youre able to clear most 35s with a level on 4th gens

35s on 20s. Quiet ride, but heavy. No traction in snow or rain since they have little to no Sipes.

Nitro trail grapplers.

I just installed BFG KO2s. D rated not too heavy and look great. Stay away from E unless you tow all the time.

The trailer I pull with the race car and everything else probably ends up being around 7-8 thousand pounds. From where I Live to the track isn't far but occasionally we race in different states. I really don't want to invest 1600 in tires for them to be eaten up. Also have read that they float a lot but others say at 55 psi they're great pulling. Thanks for all the replies!
