Yes, I think my truck would self-learn as well if I got legitimate Mopar sensors. However they sell for about $137 each at the dealer, and I was skeptical about the ones I found online that claim to be Mopar. Then on top of that, they may have charged me a fee for each tire to install them, and if they stopped working in a year, it would be up to me to replace them. That's why I decided just to go with their generic ones, but everyone has to make their own decision. It appears the 5th gen or DT truck has self learning sensors and do not have to be programed. I guess ealier models had to be programed.
Thanks for the reply.
Looks like it is time for some new TPMS sensors for the tires. 2019 Ram 5th gen. Any advice on what to get and save over the cost of originals?
Well- I bought a set with part numbers that matched the originals from Amazon. Replaced the bad one on my own. Drove about 10 or 12 miles and it started reporting!Looks like it is time for some new TPMS sensors for the tires. 2019 Ram 5th gen. Any advice on what to get and save over the cost of originals?
Absolutely, just where ever you put the spare it will show dashes and your tpms light will come on.I just bought a plain steel wheel for a full sized spare. Had not intended to put a sensor on it. Can I correctly assume the truck will run for spare use distances lacking a sensor? A new feature to me on a not so new truck!
