Need to replace brakes

Truck just hit 27,000 miles and I need to replace the brakes on it.

It started to squeal like a pig just the other day when I was driving through town.

Any good recommendations on brakes? Depending upon how bad it is, it might possibly need rotors too.

I know I've read a bunch of threads where I heard how horrible the stock brakes are. I would like to greatly increase my stopping power and have no problems stopping this beast when I need too.

I'm open to all suggestions and ideas.

I searched for a few hours one day and never came across this thread.

Still getting use to how it works, most of the time when I search for stuff it comes back with no results found.
