Hit a curb, need to replace one 20 x 9 chrome clad wheel. Has anyone had to do the same and found a good deal on wheels?

No good deals that I’ve seen. I ordered a new wheel to replace one that came bent on my truck, then later discovered a local company that straightens wheels and had them straighten the old wheel AND THE NEW WHEEL THAT CAME BENT. The 20” wheels with glued-on covers are soft, in my opinion, and if I were starting over again I’d put the $400+ cost of a Ram wheel towards a set of good aftermarket wheels and be done with it. And, it would be better looking than that glued-on, chrome-plated plastic.
Best,
DG
I like where this guy's head is at. Put the money towards a set of custom wheels, $800-$1k gets you a pretty nice set of something way nicer looking than chrome clads.
I bent one myself a couple months ago and got a very nice used replacement off of eBay for $200 with free shipping. Here's a similar one and I'm sure there are many others: https://www.ebay.com/itm/13-14-15-1...ash=item4419bcf01b:g:tWQAAOSwdA9ar2uV&vxp=mtr
You guys talking about aftermarket wheels see that this guy is 61 right? Hell I'm only 50 and I hate aftermarket wheels(the last decent aftermarket wheels that I remember are Cragar 5 stars and Keystone Classics)Old guys don't generally like change as much especially if it involves spending lots of money on something that don't necessarily need. Just sayin.
As to the being old and aftermarket wheels.
The finishes on the wheels today are not as good as they were 20 years ago. You used to be able to buy , chrome cragers, centerlines and even american racing wheels and they would be good for years.
Alot of us (older) guys dont like the black wheel trend. Chrome wheels are limited in selection and the chrome starts pitting or peeling in a couple years. Most companies only warranty them for 1 year. I know I'm not about buying new wheels every 3-4 years.
Polished is the way to go if you want shiny, as you can clear coat them or just rub them out every so often. But the selection on polished wheels is even smaller.
So sometimes the stock wheels are just fine .
