Need Tranny advice

I am getting some noise from my tranny when lugging overdrive. It shifts great but the noise has me thinking I'm gonna be replacing it before too long. My question is this: will it hurt or help the trans to put a shift kit on it with a line pressure booster ? I don't drive it extremely aggressive but definitely enjoy the throttle response of the slightly modified hemi.
I have a little general knowledge but I know there are some experts on here so I'm gonna trust you guys. Would I be better off waiting on the shift kit for the rebuilt or reman tranny ???

what sort of noise is it?

It is a rattle type noise. One of my mechanic bros thought it was spark knock

is it rattling while under load only like pebbles rattling in a can?

That's a pretty good description. If I let off the gas or hit gas and downshift it instantly stops

maybe ignition...plugs...a sensor somewhere... tranny is perhaps not on cause?

It works for me, plus I have zero torque management.
