Well, I’m getting replacement steps under warranty and wanted to sell the new ones and get myself some N Fab steps in textured black.

I’m worried that they will sit too far forward and get in the way of my molded husky liner mud guards.

In some pictures they look like they stick into the wheel well. Could just be an illusion [emoji12]

Thanks

Which model are you thinking of purchasing?

Cab length or wheel to wheel?

Probably cab length standard textured black. Although I do like the look is the podium ones

I have the DuraStep version which are similar in profile to the Podium steps, 3-step wheel to wheel, and they mount with just about an inch outside of the wheel well opening at the bottom.

I don't think I can add molded mud flaps to the truck due to clearance but that's OK...the pocket flares will fit.

Here's some pics. Hope they help.

Thanks for the pics! I’ll have to measure how far back the mud flaps sit and some members will have to measure the side steps to wheel well for me [emoji106]

I hate to say this but looks like Westin makes one that is similar and has drop steps. Textured and appears to sit far back from the front so the mud guards should fit. Anyone running Westin HDX ?

Here are a couple of pics of my N-Fab steps on my '17 2500 CC LB. Sorry if they don't show exactly what you need. I can get better pics tomorrow with measurements if you want. I like these steps. They bite into your shoe soles. You never feel like you might slip off. I'm 260 lbs and they don't flex.c572d2063021c4afaed8e6b29e6bbb81.jpg41207c365c89fe6356f52ec3e4f11987.jpg2d58a977667c769358dd18b303a794d7.jpg5fbeed60b6f9ee68d3a1aacd78632508.jpg

Hey thanks! Those pics are good. They stick too close to the front. I can see you your pic they will interfere with the molded husky guards [emoji17]

I would cut them, however, that will void any warranty. I’ll have to keep looking for another brand that will sit a little further back

Wish I had chosen w to w version. I'm 6'2" and I still can't reach over and reach the floor of the bed.

I removed my R5 steps today and sent them back. I will say partsengine.ca has been amazing to deal with and back their warranty and customer service claims.

I emailed them for ***** and giggles to see if I can change the steps for a different one and they contacted Westin which gave them the green light. So I’m getting replacements but upgraded or changed to the Westin HDX drop steps.

They sit far back from the mud flaps and seems to have decent reviews. I’m not gonna have high expectations when it comes to winter but we shall see

I’ll be sure to post pic
