never noticed it before

While I do not like how big the antenna is on my Ram and have been thinking of replacing. I was walking up to it the other day and noticed it sticking out at an angle away from the truck. I looked online at new ones, and can't believe this is the way it is designed. I can't believe I've had the truck for 18 months and never noticed it before.

I don’t remember ever seeing mine like that at that angle before replacing. Do you do a drive through car wash by chance. Looks like it got bent at an angle at the base. You should be able to bend it back straight. I’ve done it a few times

Here's a new 19 classic at the dealer. Looks about the same as mine.

Mine is just like that to, i’m pretty sure it’s normal.

My guess is they did that so it doesnt hit the truck if it get caught on something like a tree branch. Only practical reason I can think of.

Better to always take the antenna off if you go through a car wash.

Yeah, I've never noticed any wind noise. My wife has a gold Equinox and I went through a regular car wash and noticed a black Ram behind me and he took his antenna off. I was thinking of the scratches he was getting, but at least he took his off.

I go through the touchless car washes with mine, but wash at home most of the time.

I meant maybe they angled it away from th truck so, when the window waas opened, there would be less or no wind noise.

I know there have been many complaints about aftermarket antenae's creatinga whipping osund, as one goes down the road, when windows donw, it is unbearable.

I literally just told my wife the same thing about the antenna on my 2018. We only noticed it because she just ordered a white shorter antenna for her Jeep Wrangler that I was putting on for her and then we looked at my truck parked next to hers and saw how it leans outward.
