Picking up a 2012 Express Today--could not resist the 6k in rebates.
I heard the tires are bad----CNY area and winters.

Keep them or trade them in ASAP ? or just keep them

Thanks!

I got rid of mine with 50% left. They were awful.

Thanks for the reply

Curious maybe Dunns would let me trade them in say with 100 miles on them?
or Call the company "Goodyear" and express my concern?

Thinking about Michelin LTX MS/2 as a replacement

welcome to RF. I have used the stock goodyears in the snow and never had problems. Of course there are better tires out there, but they are capable

Brand New, the Factory Goodyears are fine. This is my 2nd winter on mine, and with ~24k on them, their performance in the white stuff is bordering on downright crappy.

The tires stay pliable, just don't have enough siping (sp) to function in the fluffy stuff.

Mine are fine, granted they are still new, less than 2K on them. However I have driven them through the snow in Tahoe and done just fine.

im not a personal fan of my oem tires, my biggest complaint is hearing the squeal if i take a turn to hard at a whopping 10 mph.

im at 6K now, once i get about another year out of them, ill be switching to Cooper's or Falken A/T's

Check your tire pressure.

My OEMS are a good compromise between highway driving and snow on pavement. Their not off road tires by any stretch of the imagination, but I really don't want to be rumbling down the highway in knobby mudders in my everyday driver.
I just did a 1000 mile round trip VA to OH in snow and through the mountains and they did fine. I see someone above mentioned at 24K they weren't so hot, but I only have 5K.
So perhaps you drive them for a couple years till they're at 50% tread life and then replace with better tires or rims and tires. :****:

I live i western NY and had a set of 295 falkens on my 2012 express (replaced the stockers at 1500miles they were aweful) and was looking for an inexpensive replacement for them just for the winter, I ended up buying a set of 275/55/20 cooper discover HTP's and love them, hands down the best all season tire ive had in the snow!! I got them from discount tire direct for $560 free shipping
