New 5.7

Goodmorning. I am installing a new 5.7 into my truck and have read many ways to prime oil system. I figured rather then Google I'd join here . Any suggestions on best way for this

Proper way is to pump oil through the oiling ports,improper way is to hold the gas pedal to the floor and spin the engine over on the starter.

This is exactly what I do when I build a HEMI. I have a brass fitting that I screw in and I connect a braided line that goes to a homemade electric oil pump and container that holds fresh oil.
