New, but not

Whts up guys. I must admit I am not a current ram owner, but I used to be. I used to have a 01 1500 QC SB 5.9 4x4 SLT. Ever since I got rid of that truck I have missed it greatly. Sad part is I dont have any pictures of me with the truck. Here is my new dilemma, I am back in the market after selling my personal vehicle for a truck. Now I have found several trucks in my area that meet my criteria for what I want. But I am still having a tough time deciding on what I want. I am debating between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen trucks. I can easily find both trucks for around the same price and mileage. So finding one is not a problem. Its debating on which way to go. Both are fairly mod friendly. The 5.9 and 5.7 Hemi are both great engines. I would like to get a 01 where I can throw a 2500 drivetrain into it without a problem and have a stout little truck. But I love the interior on the 3rd gen. So here is my question to you guys. If you where in the situation I am in now which would it be?

I've had two 3rd gens, love them. But I also like the looks of the 2nds and especially RCSB's. So it's a tough call for me LOL

5.9, i love the 3rd gen, but those 2nd gen's are pretty damn cool, and you get the 5.9? i'd take that over a hemi any day
