How much of a drop on your hitch? Reason I ask is your truck appears to be too low in the back. Hard to tell at that angle in the photo. I'd start with getting the truck more level with the WDH first and then check your trailer. If the trailer sits too high, drop the ball another notch. It's kind of an adjust and re-adjust until you get it perfect :)

The friction systems try to control sway. The Reese dual cam system tries to prevent sway. When passed by big rigs or hit with crosswinds, you will still feel movement. But the whole rig will seem to move as one unit. No "tail wagging the dog" feeling. Had a Reese, then got a different trailer with the Equalizer system. First time out, almost crapped my pants when a semi passed me. Went right out and bought another Reese used for $350 including the hitch. Had it installed for $50. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Much less stress now.

I have the Airlift 5000 Ultimate. I can lift my truck so it looks like the camper is dragging in the back (exaggeration). I am towing here at 60lbs so the trailer keeps level more than the truck. It wears the trailer tires more evenly. If it's gets quirky on me I'll raise it level at 70 lbs. To answer your question, I have a 10" drop but the wdh is double bolted so it's probably around 8" down. The trailer has a 1500 lb tongue but it lightens up when I load my Goldwing in the back (toy hauler).

I pulled this trailer with my 2012 1500 QC. The Hemi did fine but the payload was killing me. I drove for 45 minutes with white knuckles holding the steering wheel. I know exactly what you meant about semi tucks passing. They seem to suck you into their lane. The next time I took the camper out I had this 2500 ctd. It was hell trading my 1500 at only 11 months old but it was well worth the stress relief.

Looking at picture again, I agree with TruckNut. Your truck does look low in rear, which will affect your handling greatly. Measure from ground to top of wheelwells front and rear on truck. They should be within 1/2 (0.5) inch. If not, readjust your WD setup. Question for TruckNut: once truck is level, can hitch be raised or lowered 1 notch without having to readjust angle of head? My truck is good, trailer tongue needs to come up that inch to sit level. I was told that slightly low on tongue is acceptable, but would like to be closer to perfect.
