So to start off lets just say my engine is tired. It's a 5.7 from my 2009 ram with 240K miles on it. I am in CA so I have to be careful with CARB and passing smog tests. What I would like to do:

392 Stroker from a 345 Base 5.7. Also with a Greene cam. All NA so I don't kill my new 5spd :)

What I want to know is what are my options as far as pre-built ready to go vs. sourcing some cheaper parts and building one on a budget.

I am probably going to have to put this together in the garage on my engine stand and then have some help swapping it in.

Ready go.....

BTW I have more money in my truck with lift and interior/exterior mods than I paid for the truck. Also have almost every mod I can thing of on my current 5.7 minus a cam.

IMHO if your going to go for big power and thrash on it you should save a little money back for your trans rebuild-----if not now, later

The Trans is brand new and has upgraded valve body. I don't thrash on my truck, but I do commute "Aggressively" if you will. Play in the mud during winter and the snow. Tow a small trailer about 4 times a year, and like to chirp the tires when a Honda messes with me. :)

I am fine with a powerful Cammed 5.7 that is built on a budget and can last me another 240K :)
