Hey everyone, name's Pete and I'm 19. Currently have myself a 2001 Ford Ranger, but soon trading for a 96 Ram Sport 4x4 with the 5.9 and flowmaster Super 44s. Before I go jump on the truck, I'd love to know some of the problem areas of these year trucks. I'll post a couple pics when I get a chance to. Anyways, looking forward to being able to talk to everybody about the trucks! Any questions, feel free to ask me. Nothing offends me.:********:

with the 44s was it regeared? also tranny is a weak spot. cracked dashes too

Not 44" tires lol I wish. Haha. Soon. Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers. Haha. I heard about the trannys. Just a fluid change and a better trans cooler, right?

Check the plenum for oil too. If there is it's a easy fix with a hughes plenum kit. And of course check the suspension and make sure the balljoints and all that are in good shape

Welcome. Those 96 Sports are great looking trucks. I had a 94 2wd Sport back in '94.

Later had a '97 I ran up 140K before giving it to my brother a couple yrs ago. Only problems I had were the front axle universals. I replaced those twice. Other than that, I had no issues with my truck.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. How are the trucks off road? Break easy? I know there's a ton of afternarket support for them. Any kind of mods that I can do from other dodges? Like for the Ranger, I have an explorer overhead console, explorer sport guage cluster, seats from a 2007 Ranger, Mustang dome light, etc...
