Hi everyone new guy from Ct. here . I am reposting this from the general area . I just bought a 2014 express RCSB 4x4 and I am looking at threads dealing with lowering . I am a bit confused as some kits talk about relocation bracket for panhard bar and re drilling ?? But from what I have read about Ground Force kit it is just shocks and springs . Is panhard leveling just a 2wd thing ? What gives ?? Thanks for any info .- Gary

If you lower the rear by 4", there's a good chance your rear end will not be centered in the wheel well afterward. the panhard relocate bracket, or re-drilling the panhard mount, solve that.
Either the McGoughy's kit or the Ground Force have the reloc bracket, the other does not.(can't remember which is which)
I can vouch that lowering only 2" may not require that much work.

Thank you, The more I read the more I am starting to understand the whole panhard axle centering deal . I tink 2" lowering in the back is as much as I want to do at this point . Now I just need to understand what is the best way to do it . My first concern is keeping the truck intact . I see you lowered yours 2" in the rear . What all did you use ? Thanks

I have a 2011 4wd, and started off with a 2" rear level. It was better than stock, but if you like a lowered stance, you will find yourself wanting more. I then went with the Ground Force 2/3 drop, and couldn't be happier. It does not come with a track bar bracket, but I have yet to feel any kind of wobble or lack of stability with this truck. I am also running a Hellwig Rear swaybar though which does help handling. If I buy another 4wd, I would have no doubts about running this exact kit again.

I have my GF 2/3" sitting in my basement, cannot wait to get it on! I spent a lot of time reading and GF was always praised.

Thanks guys for the info . Ground Force would be the way I would go if I do a full drop . Hemi450 - did you redrill for panhard bar ? What is your opinion of a spohn adjustable panhard bar is it necessary ? What was the part# of your sway bar ?Thanks

I did not redrill, nor did I install the adjustable bar. I added the Hellwig rear swaybar back when I had the 2" rear drop, and have never experienced any kind of wag or wobble in the back of the truck. The truck rides surprisingly well for a lowered truck and handles nicely as well.

I cut my rear stock springs. I wouldn't have done it, but the truck has SO much susp. travel, it just made sense and fit the budget.

I agree with Matt. I had always wanted to lower my truck, but then decided to just lower the rear 2" with GF springs and shocks...

Less than a year later I had to redo it and lower it a 2/4. A 2" rear drop is not really lowering it all, it's leveling it at best. If you want "lowered" than you will probably want more than the just the rear. My .02.

I'd like to add that a rear lower by 2" will maintain some rake. I started with a 3' drop in the back which DID level it, and I thought it looked stupid.
If you're not going to tow with it, a 24 would def. be more apparent and rewarding,

Man , I know exactly what you are talking about . I think you need a little rake to look right . Level dosen't look right to me and worse yet is if the rear is lower than the front . A lot of the crew cabs I have seen lowered in here have that look . I think 2/3 on a regular cab looks right to me . But damn is it going to get expensive . Between Drop kit, Pan bar, Sway bars, New tires and wheels ..etc ... etc .. I better stock up on Ramon noodles and P&J .. LoL
