hey fellas, just picked up a 2014 ram 4x4 quad cab and was interested in throwing a set of 35x12.5x20s on it using the factory wheels, so from what I have seen thus far is that I need some type of wheel spacer to be able to run the factory 20's and I would also need a bit of a lift and was looking at this,

2009-2013 Dodge RAM 1500 4WD 3" front 1.5" rear complete lift kit

what are your opinions on this set up, any info such as wheel spacer size, tire size, and spacer/level kit size is greatly appreciated. I don't want to throw my money away on something that will not work. thanks for all the help,

Cheers

I went with the 2in front level blocks from that place and I am very pleased with how it looks. From what I have read all you need to run that tire is 2in front blocks and .25 wheel spacers to push the wheel out a bit for clearance to the upper control arm.I am planning on getting the same size tires when funds allow so I have read up on this some but like everything else I could be wrong and I am sure if I am someone will point it out.

I'm sure some guys have the set up your looking for. 1.5" spacers for the wheels sound big but I'm honestly not too familiar with spacers. I would suggest a 2.5" level not a 3" because your front end will be fully extended so as you hit a bump you'll bounce all over.

Just throwing this out there... Maxtrac offers a very affordable 2.5" strut spacer for the 09+ Ram 1500 4wd trucks. I prob wouldn't go 3" like said above as it will put too much stress on the geometry of the suspension. Here is a link to a seller that carries our products (this is just one of many but it was the quickest link I could find) hope this info helps! if you have questions or need more referrals feel free to ask away or PM me and best of luck on your research! Ended up with the motofab 3inch front and 1.5 rear. Seems like a good product, easy install then I threw on a set of 35s with a 1/4 inch spacer. Then removed the spacer as it is NOT NEEDED to accomodate 35s with stock wheels with this leveling kit. All in all looks good and rides decent

How wide are the 35s that fit without a spacer?
You'd be the first I've ever heard of as it's the width of the tire not th diameter than runs it into the upper control arm. Unless factory offset has changed.
3" is gonna wear stuff in you're front end out faster. The reason why a 4" lift comes with front differential drop. Everyone seems to ask questions then go with what they want anyways around here lately.

couple more. there is about a half inch clearance between the tire and upper control arm without a wheel spacer (enough for me), I realize that the 3 inch front spacer isn't the "popular choice"
due to extra stress on the front end but as a brand new vehicle that will only be in my possession for 3 years it should work out fine for me. I also think the motofab kit a quality piece for anyone looking imo. Dodge Leveling Kits

Ahhh, ShawnWhite has the Black Express package which comes with 20x8 wheels, not 20x9. Hence his ability to clear the UCA without a spacer while running a 35x12.50. This is excellent news considering I have the same wheels and I'm hoping to go with a 4" lift and keep the same wheels.

EDIT: Just to clarify, these wheels are 20x8 with +19mm offset and 5.25" backspacing.
