Hey everyone so I recently installed a kenwood 7704s but it ended up dying a day after I installed it. The unit sounded great when it worked but crutchfield unfortunately was out of stock so they gave me a even swap for the pioneer avh -2330nex. Everything is working great but there is one major difference I’m noticing...it’s the amount of overwhelming bass from the pioneer unit. I have the stock 6 speaker system and with the kenwood the 2 dash and front door speakers pretty much pumped out the highs and some mid with the rear door speakers pumping out the lows/bass. With the pioneer the dash speakers are pretty much pumping out the highs with the front door speakers throwing out a ton of bass with a slight midtone..the back door speakers are also pumping out a ton of bass in conjunction with the front door speakers. The only thing I see that is different is that the kenwood came defaulted with the Crossovers in the head unit itself set to 100hz for front and back with a -12db slope..my new pioneer unit however has the crossover feature turned off by default. I’m just curious now which one is the right way my oem speakers are supposed to sound..the 1st way-kenwood dash and front doors-high frequencies and back doors-low/ bass...or my pioneer which sounds like dash speakers-high frequencies front doors-Mid/low with a a lot of bass and back doors-low/bass heavy.

Just buy this and let the head unit tune it for you.

Turn off loudness and or bass boost. Set your eq flat. It's probably on powerful. Maybe set you xover to 40hz or 80hz high pass. Double check your wiring harness if that doesn't work. Might have all positives going to the rear.
