Looks like I'll be buying a new intake manifold for my truck. Put a new water pump on my truck about 7 months ago and broke a bolt off in the intake that holds the water outlet down. Got it out and put a heli-coil in and thought it was good. Started seeping water about 3 months ago. Put a new gasket on and thought it fixed it but it's back to leaking again.

So I'm just going to replace with a new one. I know there's not many options for intake manifolds for the magnum series, and I'm not paying $600+ for the Mopar, so I'll probably try to source one from a salvage yard around here.
Aside from the plenum issue, is there anything you guys can think of I need to look at/replace while I'm in there?

Not off hand. Usually the plenum is the number 1 problem. Did you look at the f1 intakes?

Haven't looked at anything in depth anyways. Just a quick google search and all I saw was the Mopar performance for around $600

Hughes has their f1 airgap for $600 lol. It looks to be a LA style carb intake with an adapter to run a stock tb on top. All the other ones I saw on their site were for carb applications too. I'll look once I get home and on a comp instead of the phone lol

Yeah when I looked alot of them were for switching to a carb setup, but there was an adapter to run the throttle body

I've still got a couple months before I tear into it. This is gonna be a tax return mod lol. I'm looking for a Dakota or something for a dd to keep the miles off the ram and a little more money in my pocket from gas lol
