I picked up a new Leer Trilogy Tonneau cover this morning. Got it rough fitted and semi installed this afternoon. Today was the first decent weather day in forever, in what looks to be a pretty nice stretch of weather.

Anyway, I had heard about and saw an ad in a magazine last fall advertising the Leer Trilogy. I have had several roll-up fabric covers (Lorado and Truxedo) and a fabric tri-fold (Lund). They were all pretty good covers with minor issues each. I had been looking at Bak , Extang and Solid fold for hard covers, but never was impressed enough to pull the trigger. I really liked the looks of the Leer based on a few advertisement videos on youtube. Still being such a new cover, I couldn't find a single review of the Trilogy on any make, let alone Ram. You can't order them on Amazon, Autoanything or EBAY. They must be purchased through Leer's dealer network.

I just got a new Ram 2 weeks ago and decided screw it, I'm ordering a Trilogy....reviews or no reviews. Ordered about 10 days ago from the closest Leer dealer around and picked it up this morning. Got it home and on the truck in about 10 minutes....rough fitted. I will spend some more time tomorrow trying my best to perfect the fit as best I can. I think a couple days on warm sunlight will relax some of the seals and make it fit a little more snug to the top bed rail. Fit and finish is very good....being a LEER, I expected that. Near each attachment handle in the rear, there are 3 LED's that are battery powered...but pretty damn bright.

Anyway, here are a few pictures. Don't mind the dirty truck. The weather has been miserable lately and I'm chomping at the bit to give the new truck a proper cleaning.

Very nice. What do they go for? I'm looking for a folding cover too.

Do all three panels fold up , meaning full opened bed? Or is it the first two fold back on top of the third panel closest to the rear window?

Yes, first 2 fold up and can be strapped down to third panel. $839 with local taxes after $50 leer rebate. Comparable in price to the other hard cover tonneau's.

so just to clarify, it does not fold up flush all the way flat to the back window like the bakflip does so your entire bed is open?

The latching mechanism looks to be better designed that the bak ones which are exposed.

It's a quality piece, I will give it that. Played with the fit a little more today and got it damn near perfect. Went to car wash after, and she was 99% dry inside. A little got in at the tailgate. Very happy with it after 1 day. Hopefully it will be a good one for years to come.

Do you think if you put tailgate seal it would be completely dry inside?

Not sure a tail gate seal would be good. You will get rain in when opening the cover & tailgate. Might be good to have a place for it to drain?

Looking at the video it looks like it drains off the cover so it does not use drains. That's something that I like is about these types of covers.

Id like a hard cover, but REFUSE to have one that covers the back window when folded "up"

I guess a soft roll one could work.

Or save my money and keep it open.

That's what keeps me from considering a BakFlip.

If it dropped down inside the front of the box Id do that. If they could somehow make that work.

I think the new roll cover Bak came out with is kind of a combination of hard and soft. It's called the Roll-X
