Hello all, this is my second time owning a truck. I just traded my camaro in for a 12 ram 1500 mossy oak edition.

I want some sort of catback or muffler replacement for this truck. It seems very quiet for 5.7 V8

Any suggestions? Should i go full catback or should i just replace the mufflers?

Thanks all

There are several threads about this in the engine and performance section.

Yeah what he said ^ there's a tread that has tons of video clips of different exhausts in that section.

Personally I recommend MBRP though. Sounds very aggressive without the drone.

Just replace the muffler though. Nothing changes with a cat back really except the muffler. The pipe sizes are exactly the same. There's only the one muffler but there are resonators on the tail pipes. Take those off too

Catbacks remove the resonators I personally did the muffler swap with a aggresive muffler as I wanted a Good growl I can hear but didn't want to raise my voice to have a conversation to the person sitting next to me. Resonators really tone it down.

Cat back is a waste of money. Fine what muffler/sound you want and have it welded in; and I would recommend removing the resonators. If you plan on doing an entire exhaust system down the road read my thread in the performance section under Exhaust Systems 101. Good luck and keep us posted.
