Hey all, just purchased a new to me 2021 Ram 1500 Limited. Have not owned a truck since my last Ram which was a 1997 SST.

Hey Ikreider,
Very nice-looking truck. We must have been very close in our timing with you. We purchased our new-to-us 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew cab Ecodiesel Monday, the day before you. Must be "buy Ram" week:D This is our first "Dodge/Ram" vehicle in decades. Now, a bit of info for ya here. Color has absolutely NOTHING to do with "Fallout" of any type/style/chemical makeup. Fallout, is not selective as to what color it happens to. Been driving for 60 years and have had all colors of cars and trucks and have had "fallout" on all of them as long I've been aware of it's presence.

The color White may, I say MAY make it just slightly, VERY SLIGHTLY more noticeable due to it being a brighter finish. But, even then you better have some magnifying glasses for regular glasses. Fallout is way more noticeable to the feel than sight. We just purchased our truck as noted above and IT had fallout on both the hood and roof. By the way, while it can happen, fallout rarely affects anything vertical like the sides of a vehicle. And I've never, EVER "ACID" washed any vehicle that had fallout on it. I have simply washed it thoroughly and then got out my trusty clay bar with some water in a spray bottle with only a drop or two of some dawn dish soap in it.

That has worked every single time FOREVER. Then, since I'm not a fan of severely overpriced "Ceramic" coatings, I typically use Meguiars "Cleaner wax" in either the paste or the liquid version and that makes it all the work worth it.
In many cases where I was up against fallout, after the clay bar treatment, I'd break out the DeWalt professional buffer with a wool pad and some polishing compound to really smooth out the surface and eliminate any potential scratches caused by the clay bar. (it does happen but rarely)

Such is the case of the bed on our new truck. It did have some scratches and mars here and there when we purchased it. You'll see in the photos the SERIOUS difference after washing, claying, and machine buffing, then some Meguiars paste wax. SERIOUSLY BETTER! Anyway, enough blabbing. You have a very nice looking truck.
Scott

After about a week with the truck, I can easily say this is the nicest vehicle I’ve owned. Been dying to get a ram for years, and now that I finally did it has easily surpassed my expectations. Later this week I’ll run it through the ringer towing my new travel trailer home.

I'll be interested in your towing results. The only *heavy* towing we'll be doing with our new Ecodiesel is our 26' Tri-toon Bennington boat. It tips the scales at your basic 6,700 lbs with trailer. Kind-a anxious to see how it does with that. We don't tow far, only from our home down to the launch ramp and back, about 2-3 miles away. It's all downhill on the way there but uphill on the way back so, we'll see how it goes.

The travel trailer is 5775 lbs dry, should be able to pull it without any issues.

Thank you, was originally looking for a black or granite color but once I looked at a white one in person it really grew on me.
Nice truck, From Canada as well,
I had a black one before , love black, but it is a pita to keep clean, about every time I drove ,I washed.
I find white is easy to keep looking great. I was not liking the red I have, but it was a great deal when got it.

Tick, I would take back to the dealer if that is where you bought it from and get it checked.
Better now then later.
off warranty now?

Towed it home today 32’ bumper to hitch, truck did great. Ran into some wind and had to slow it down a tad but other than that the ram pulled it with relative ease. IMG_5559.jpeg

I will say the tires felt a little squishy, i think upgrading to LT or AT tires will help with that.
