What’s up y’all....Will here.
New to the truck game but finally pulled the trigger on a 2016 Big Horn, 5.7 HEMI, sittin’ on a 6” lift.
I'm from the Bahamas — tryna learn the ropes, see what y’all runnin’, and get this build dialed in right.
Appreciate any tips, mods, or must-do upgrades .

Nice looking Big Horn. Looks like it is fully optioned already. You do have quite a bit to learn. There are features that just appear with little or no explanation. Don't Panic! The truck is just crazy with sensors trying to optimize comfort and operation of the truck, and for the most part it is a good thing. For example the Start/Stop. I'm still trying to decide if I like it, or hate it.

Thanks! I don’t have the Start/Stop on mine — had it on previous vehicles and hated it lol.

When I bought the truck it already had a Rough Country 6” lift. I’ve noticed it sits a bit squatted in the rear, so I’m trying to figure out what’s causing that.

I’m also hearing the occasional HEMI tick. It’s not constant, just on cold start which I assume is probably to do with the exhaust manifolds. I live in a hot climate, so I’m thinking I may need to run a slightly heavier oil than usual. Not sure what the previous owner was using, but I did a full service as soon as I got it.

The only thing I haven’t tackled yet is the spark plugs—I’ve been putting that off . The driver side looks like an absolute nightmare to get to.

Spark plugs can last a long long time. On my Toyota FJ that I traded in, I replace the spark plugs at 146,000 miles. And just because. The FJ ran fine, gas mileage was the same since new, same power, etc. YET the plugs were severely warn. Gap 3x recommended, ground mostly gone -- I couldn't believe the Toyota still ran.

My main goals are comfort and durability. I really like the off-road look, and the previous owner was kind of building it toward more of a show truck, which I can appreciate. The wheels/rims are definitely staying.

Right now I’m still trying to fully understand the lift setup and how it’s affecting the truck. It rides noticeably rougher than a stock Ram, so I’m figuring out what’s contributing to that.

I think the tires are a big part of it too—the previous owner put snow tires on it, and I’m driving in a hot city climate with no snow. From what I’ve read, that alone can make a pretty big difference in ride quality.

welcome.gif to Ram Forum.

Many members pull the fender liners out to assist in accessing the plugs.

BTW, beware of counterfeit plugs on fleabay and Amazon and ignore those who insist pre-gapped are good to go, out of the box.

Many threads here and YouTube videos discuss how to gap, if further info is required.

Do you know what lift it has and what shocks? Post some pics of your CV and UCA angles.

As for the tires, check you air pressure. I have seen a lot of dealers over inflate which leads to a rough ride. Also check what load rating the tires are, that can definitely make the ride rougher.
