Wore out the BFK KO2s so it was time for some new tires. The BFGs wore well but created a bit of a vibration at freeway speeds.

This time, I selected some Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 35x12.50x18 and we'll see how they do.

You'll like the firmer sidewall of the Nittos. No wiggle when towing and/or loaded. I got good wear out of my Exos, even towing heavy.

Awesome! These grapplers have treated me really well so far. I am rotating every 4k miles or so and they hardly look worn.

I'm liking them so far. Nice and quiet, no vibration on the highway.

I've got them set at 55 psi cold and after I warmed them up on the freeway they grew to 57 psi. I suspect that will increase by 1 or 2 psi as ambient temps rise to the 90's and beyond here.

Love those tires MADDOG.

Why 55psi? My door sticker tells me 35psi.

Thanks for your military service!

Discount tire for sure. Look at the guys in red at the registers.

Missed that...just curious why if it was a retail store, why no lift?

The store in Jacksonville, FL used jacks in the same manner. Cheaper than installing lifts!

LOL...no, that's the Discount Tire service bay. I don't have a tire changer in my garage.

My door sticker says 65/80. The stock tires and wheels are long gone, having been replaced with the wheels & tires you see on the truck.

There's no way I'd use door sticker recommended pressures with what I have installed. The center section of those Nittos would be gone in 10K miles. I picked 55 psi (cold) based on the ride quality and tire wear experienced with 35/12.50x18 size tires.

The BFG's were on two trucks, my black 2014 6.4L 2500 and after it's demise I put them on the 2017 CTD. I ended up with just a bit over 35K on them but the 5K or so miles were a real trial. They squirmed, bounced and vibrated badly above 50 MPH.
