Next week I will be installing 3 new mods that I hope to have available for everyone else pending our testing.
1st, we will be porting a stock truck intake manifold to see if we can squeeze any more power out of it. I have seen some of the car intakes pick up anywhere from 10-15hp/tq from this mod, so we are going to give it a shot on the shop truck.
Next will be a performance Valve Body to try and speed up the shifts at WOT. Even with trans tuning, these trucks just don't shift very fast, especially at higher power levels. I have high hopes for this mod.
And finally, ARH sent us a new 3.5" Y-pipe. This is not something that the average guy will want for their truck, but those of you that are serious about racing should see a decent gain by stepping up the 3" outlet to a 3.5. This Y-pipe is still 3" coming off the header collectors, but merges into a single 3.5" outlet at the back.
All these parts are going in next week, and then we will get the shop truck back on the drag strip. Assuming we get 1 more day with decent air, I'm hoping to see this thing touch a 12.3-12.4 N/A without heads, cam, nitrous, or boost.
