Considering a new 2019 Ram power wagon. Trading in my 2014 outdoorsman. I looked at tundra trd pro and Tacoma trd pro. I’m looking for off road truck. Tundra well equipped but expensive. Tacoma a bit too small for me. I like the idea of a power wagon looked at on a few years back. Any concerns or reliability issues? What’s the word about the PW?

Beastly, how about the tradesman with a power wagon package?

The main differences is the power wagon has a winch, electric sway bar disconnects, electric lockers, softer suspension and aggressive alterrain tires. They are all 6.4l hemi with 4.10 axles the gvw I believe is only 8800lbs witch kills the payload on the pw it drops it down to 1600lbs or so but it's a beastly truck I watched a stock one run a rock course that was giving stock wranglers a hard time. As far as reliability it's the same as any other 2500 gas truck.

GVWR is 8565. A tradesman with Powerwagon package may have close to 1600...but a fully loaded Powerwagon will have closer to only 1100 with 1300 being an avg optioned one.

But, it is still a HeavyDuty and the most capable factory truck available.

The platform is as reliable as any new truck can be.

Some new color choices coming to it aswell.

Wouldn't hesitate to buy one, but I appreciate my 8 foot bed too much.

I wrote a week long thread on my experience. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/new-power-wagon-heading-to-the-smoky-mountains.149377/

Tundra TRD Pro is too expensive? Then dont bother looking at a power wagon...

Unless you go with a tradesman with the power wagon package added to it.

True like @olyelr said.

Plus to add to @14hemiexpress list, the PW has a 2” factory lift, black on black interior, badge, seats dash cluster and vinyl exterior wraps. Also full rubber floor mats, tube steps and front camera are standard.

I pulled the trigger on a new 2019 Power Wagon. It’s pretty loaded. More options than I need, but nice to have. I was surprised at the 16000 lb towing capacity. Awesome vehicle.

9,470 is the towing capacity of a loaded PW the 2500 non Power Wagon HD will give you the 16k but our wagons have a soft suspension that will not hold a heavy payload.
Let’s see some pictures!!
