New PW Owner!

Stoked to be the proud owner of a new Power Wagon! Having owned a plethora of other very capable “Off-Road” trucks (Ford F-150 FX4 & Raptor, Toyota Tundra TRD PRO, TACOMA TRD OFF ROAD,” none of them felt as solid or complete as the PW. Still have much to learn about the vehicle, have not needed or wanted to push the truck until “break-in” is complete. My PW already has its 1st scratches and has brought a beautiful color-phase black bear home from a Spring hunt (all in the 1st 800 miles ).

Look forward to learning more about this rig, will try to self educate via prior threads before being redundant!

There was one at DD that I was eyeing but got a salesman who was a jerk so I made the drive to Larry H. Miller in Boise a week ago Friday. No complaints there. They committed to a price on the new one and my trade and honored it. Something DD wouldn't do.

My one regret with that 7 hour trip for the truck is that I did not get the chance to stop in to Factor 55 and drop some coin. I have since splurged online.

What you lack in bear size, you make up in deer, elk, and sheep headgear.

That’s interesting because I had the complete opposite experience...either way, you got a new PW!!! Only reason I chose to do business with DD is because they had the exact spec I was looking for in a PW and it is a 2019....so I saved a bunch of coin! They knocked roughly $20k off the sticker and gave me 0% for 84 months. WINNING

Idaho is one of the best kept secrets for hunters & fishers!!! There is more public land than in any other western state and the quality of game is premier. We moved to Boise from Glenwood Springs Colorado and I thought Colorado had excellent hunting/fishing...Idaho is as good if not BETTER! I was a hunting guide in Colorado, in and around the Maroon Bells/Aspen. What I’ve seen in Idaho has been short of remarkable.

Great truck, great bear and great state. My plan is to move to the Boise area within two years. Keep that state as red as your truck in the meantime...

Will be in Salmon this summer (July/August) to scout the Middle Fork of the Salmon for a late season Elk/Deer hunt in the Frank on the jet boat. 10 days in the back country should be a hoot!?!? MTRamFan, I’ll let you know when my plans are concrete.

Boise may not stay Conservative but Idaho will forever be a RED State!!!
