Hello, I am new to the Forum and new to the Ram. I am not a mechanic by any means and just trying to learn about my truck to keep it running and in great shape as long as I can. I really love the Ram this far. I have a 2017 Laramie V8 Hemi 5.7 with 62,000 miles. I just recently had the transmission serviced and noticed the shop put down on my paperwork that Dexron Transmission Fluid was used, being I want to know everything I researched Dexron and was unable to find if this was a Equivalent Fluid Type for my ZF Transmission etc... I know what the Manual says, which is to use Mopar ZF 8&9 speed ATF or EQUIVALENT. So, I am guessing the Magic question is what is Equivalent? and is Dexron Equivalent for this Gearbox etc... Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
