New Ram Sport with $499 "Scat-Pak" option

I was looking at some 2019 Ram truck YouTube videos and in one video they had a RAM truck guy showing off some of the new features/accessories. One of the accessories he called the Scat Pak intake. It was a cold air intake that draws air from the front grill into a wide plastic "Scat Pak" (like the old muscle cars with the shaker hoods). It was interesting to see that the new 5.7 hemi has a vertical air intake instead of the horizontal one of the current trucks. Not sure if that is what the OP was getting on his truck but the part that I saw demo would only fit the 2019 trucks.

Anyway, although not something I would have specifically ordered, it came with the truck and the deal was too good to pass up over this.

This is my second Ram, the first a 16 Laramie...

Must have been the new Ram "AIRFLOW" Mopar CAI. Definitely not being advertised as a Scat Pack intake by Mopar though.

Ram doesn't need a SP. That package only works on Charger/Challenger IMO. Wouldn't be opposed to them dropping a 6.4 in the 1500, but calling it a Scat Pack would just be strange, from a heritage stand point. The guys have already said there is 0 plan for the 6.4 to go in the 1500.

Truck looks nice and is the perfect color IMO!

I don't mind the sticker but I would probably peel the scat pack stuff out of the circle and just put a black MOPAR "M" in there.

Hey, the deal was too good to pass up for the OP so let it lie! Some of us aren't exactly thrilled with jacked up, loud piped, rumble rumble either, but I don't see any negative comments about that idea.

What did the dealer do to the truck to deserve the moniker Scat Pak?
At the very least a Scat Pak package would be a Stage 1 SP w/a reprogrammed PCM, Mopar catback exhaust and a Mopar CAI. All of which is like a $2k dealer option (it was on my '15 300S anyway)

A $500 mystery "incentive" from a dealer turns out to be a $30 sticker... Surprise surprise. That said, glad you got a deal and are happy OP.

the good thing is they resisted the urge to put Scat Ram that would have been an issue @poopram

I dont hate the Airdesign front bumper guard or the tailgate part actually. Still though its expensive.
