Been lurking here for a few weeks while looking for a new truck. Pulled the trigger on the beauty above and decided to join. The truck will be the wifes asphalt king DD. It joins our 99 3000GT and 14 Mustang GT. Everything you see was done to it before we bought it. The original owner said it has a 3'' leveling kit for the front and 3'' body lift. It also has some exhaust work done (flowmaster mufflers) and the cables are ran for the sub box. Original owner kept the amp so i'm in the process of getting it put back together. This is the first hemi i've owned. From the last few weeks of research it looks like i have the copper plugs and will be changing them soon (40k miles on it). We love it so far! Seems to get more looks than my GHIG Mustang :nono:

Anyways, besides the basics (oil change/air filter/ etc) what else should i be aware of thats coming up for routine maintenance? The truck has 40k miles on it. It has the 6 speed trans. I'm aware of the copper spark plugs and have ordered 16 copper core NGK. I've heard mention of cabin filter? How about fuel filter/trans fluid+filter/Tcase maintenance intervals? Truck will see 50 hwy 10 city miles daily. Very limited towing. Will see Illinois winters as the mustang is the garage queen.

Also, i bought the stock running boards from the original owner but he didnt have the bolts. Does anybody know if they are metric? Also, how many will i need?

Lastly, the sub box is MTX Thunderform. Does anybody currently have this setup? Any amp recommendations?

Thanks all!

The link is broken. Yikes a 3" leveling kit? I'm surprised that hasn't caused issues yet with the CV angle. Do you have the measurements for the truck? From the ground to the top of the wheel well.

Post up some pics, welcome to the forum!

Link working for me. The full link is 2013 RAM 1500 5.7 - Album on Imgur
I'll attach a few as well. No measurements but i'll try to get them tonight. I'll try and get a pic of the cv angle as well. New to trucks and lifts/levels so i'm not sure whats extreme or not. Seems to drive and turn fine though. No vibrations or noise.

Welcome to the forum. Your owners manual will have the recommended maintenance schedule.

THe 3000GT was once one of my favorite cars! Completely underrated/almost unknown near supercar in its day.

Ok i'll look closer at the manual. My 3000 is my second car and its the SOHC 3.0 v6 (not twin turbo). It has the look but even for a 5spd it just has no power. If they ever remake them i'll be first in line for the TT though!

Thanks! I know its hard to tell from pictures but do you think its possible it has the lifts the original owner said it did? I googled those lift numbers before i bought it and i couldnt tell. Seems tall in person but thats coming from daily driving a mustang.

here is a link to the factory hardware for the running boards, not sure if the nutserts are installed already, this kit comes with those and the tool to install if needed.

Ram 1500 Hardware Kit (Part No: 68044460AA)

Thank you!

From pictures it's just top hard to tell lol. My truck sits 44" in the front, 45" in the rear. That's with a 5" lift

Are you sure it has a body lift? I'm no expert on BLs but I would think I'd see more more undercarriage with a 3" BL. The hitch does look a little lower but everything else looks normal.

Good looking truck BTW.

From the top of the wheel well to the ground is 44'' in the front and back. Top of the cab (not including sat antenna) is 82''. I'm starting to wonder if it has a body lift. The more i see pictures of other trucks with a body lift the less i believe this truck has one.
