Just received the new CT-Sounds Strato V2 10" Dual 4ohm 500w sub from FedEx. This thing is sexy. I wired it to 2 ohm which is plenty for my amp. The amp is 1 ohm stable but I don't like to push it to the max in my DD.

I will install the sub later today and post pics when it's done. The sub by itself no box weighs 17lbs. Thing is heavy for a 10"

Looks very nice man, bet it will sound great too. I like that voltage/signal/gain knob too. No guessing if it's clipping or not, I could use one of those lol

Thank you, I'm excited to hear it. I'll break it in for a few days then get it tuned up. They make a universal knob that I've installed in a buddy's truck. It works well but it doesn't have the clipping indicator.

Got it installed and it sounds decent so far. Have to wait a few days before I beat on it

Knowing companies like CTsounds I would venture to say they use a stiff spider so before you really beat on it give it a week of play. Just my experience with companies that are geared towards SPL guys.

That's my plan, it will just be background noise for week or so and then I'll take it in to get tuned.

Whats the best way to do so? Should I just leave the gain low to where I can barely hear it? I don't listen to EDM so most of my music is country, rock, and screamo

You should be ok setting the gain low and rocking it at a higher volume or set the gain to right before it clips and be careful with the volume knob.

Awesome thank you, I think i'll keep the gain down for now. Don't want to screw up new equipment.
