Given your vehicle load rating, I'd be looking at a tire that meets the load requirements. This is stated as a "Load Range" and there are also considerations as to the speed rating. Here is an explanation of tire tier categories that can change as stated.

Tire tiers categorize brands by price and performance, with Tier 1 representing premium, high-end brands like Michelin, offering superior quality and advanced technology; Tier 2 including mid-range brands such as Goodyear or Continental, providing a good balance of quality and value; and Tier 3 comprising budget-friendly, value-focused tires often imported, prioritizing price over the advanced features of higher tiers. The specific brands within each tier can vary between studies and over time, as quality and brand recognition change.

Tier 1: Premium
  • Characteristics: These are high-quality, often expensive tires from major manufacturers, recognized for their advanced technology, superior performance, and extensive research and development.

  • Examples: Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear.

  • Considerations: You pay a premium for the best performance, innovation, and brand reputation.
Tier 2: Mid-Range
  • Characteristics: These brands offer a solid balance of quality and price, providing good performance and durability without the highest price tag.

  • Examples: BFGoodrich, Continental, Firestone, Pirelli.

  • Considerations: A strong option for consumers seeking a good value, delivering a balance of cost and performance.
Tier 3: Budget-Friendly/Value
  • Characteristics: Marketed to consumers more concerned with price, these tires are often value-priced, may be imported from Asia, and provide basic functionality rather than advanced features.

  • Examples: GT Radial, Douglas, Run-Way.

  • Considerations: A cost-effective option for those on a tight budget, but they may not offer the same level of performance or durability as higher tiers.
