Hey all, posted last week asking about my suspension and of course, after suspension comes new tires. I want to get some 33s, and my friends tell me to get 33x12.5 and keep my stock 17 rims for some crazy sidewall. My only concern is that running 12.5 wides on stock rims would rub when I turn..? Would I need to buy new rims with more offset so that they can handle the 12.5 wides? Or should I get 33x11.5s? Suggestions? I probably won't get any new tires for a couples of months, but just wanted to know what I should be shopping and looking for. Thanks!

For whatever it's worth I have stock 2003 Ram 1500 17x8" wheels (+25.4mm offset) on my 2015 4wd with 285/70R17 (33x11) tires and the fit is very good, it would not be possible to go any wider with this offset and rim width due to clearance at the upper ball joint. They don't rub but anything wider would.

This is not related to lift height because the point of nearest clearance is the upper control arm by the ball joint, which doesn't move relative to the tire when lifting.
