I've been on the forum for a couple of weeks, but never did an intro.
Been trying to learn how to set up my 2012 1500 for towing my travel trailer. After I finally did about all that I could, I found a deal on a 2014 diesel 2500. The towing concerns I had on the 1500 are nothing but a drop in the bucket to this thing.

I've got some things I need to look into now, hoping to get the info from the forums.

I need to fix my LED dome light first. It is flickering. Saw a video online about taking it apart and changing the bulbs out for some cheap ones ($13 for 10) on Amazon. I already ordered them, supposed to show up tomorrow, so I'll see if that works, otherwise I'll have to find out what others have done.

I need to look at getting a second key fob, this truck only came with one. I have AlfaOBD, so may try to get the PIN and do it myself, undecided on that. I saw some key fobs on Amazon for $50, but sounds too cheap to be true.

I have a few small pieces missing, and need to find a good place to order them. Rubber in the front cup holders, Access panel cover on the side of the center console, and the ring in the fold flat floor. I've only tried looking for the floor part so far, and had no luck, other than buying a whole new flap. I have a picture I will add to the bottom.

Need to figure out how to adjust the latch on the ram boxes. They need to be just a bit tighter to keep the body lines on the truck right.

The push button inside the ram box for switching the lights off is missing the rubber cap that holds the button in place, so the button is behind the hole with nothing holding it.

Little things like that. Dealing with motorcycles, I can find the full parts diagrams, and pick individual pieces to buy. I need to find those diagrams now for the truck.

Here is the fold flat floor trip I need to get:

I have at least one diesel specific question at the moment that maybe someone can answer without me searching through forum posts. After the truck has been off, it makes some popping/creaking/truck is haunted noises. Seem to be under the cab, more towards the passenger side. Are these common? I don't know diesels that well yet, but I know my wife's Subaru does some weird things like that.

Inside the cab noises are coming from the HVAC system, it's the dampers returning to their default position. They'll make the same noise if you open and close the door after the truck has been off for a while.
If the noises are coming from under the truck, it's the DOC/DPF and SCR probably cooling down.

My HEMI still had the dual zone AC, figured it would have been the same. Truck was off for about 2 hours, opened the door and sat in the drivers seat for a few minutes, and started hearing the popping.

This is the "cheap" key FOB I bought from amazon and I was able to program it fine with AlfaOBD. Not sure the 2014 key is the same as my 2016 but I would think it is?

.

That year uses the same keys, but this truck has the push button starter, so I'm looking at this one:

I say cheap, because the last key fob I priced for a Mazda Miata, was over $300. I hadn't really searched for this one yet, maybe they are less expensive.
