Just checking in so I'm not just a 'lurker'.
First, I'm relatively new to online bbs so go easy on me with the rules and etiquette. I generally try to learn as much as I can on my own before I open my mouth or ask for help.
I just received (3 weeks ago) a 2014 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Crew Cab with the 6'4" Mid-Box bed. I have a few factory options among which the most noteworthy are the Rambox CMS and the 4-Corner Air Suspension. Love it so far.
Not my first truck. I bought new S-10 ZR2 back in 2002 which was good when it ran, but after a bunch of expensive problems including 4 (!) transmission failures, I sold it in 2007. It's great to finally have a truck again, especially one this nice.
Anyway, I got the ****-Care Lifetime warranty through Chrysler and I work mostly from home, so with about 8000 mi/year expected, I hope to have this for a long time (15 years or better?).
Some things I have planned that I am currently researching before I pull the trigger:
Hard tonneau (folding or roll-up).
Stainless wheel-to-wheel step bars that I will Plasti-dip black.
Hood deflector, window ventvisors, mud flaps.
Black Plasti-dip all chrome badges (and wheels if the wife doesn't hate it).
I'll check in periodically for messages and post pics of anything I do, but with two young boys, finding time is always tough.
Any advice is always appreciated
