new truck question

hey guys, the big day is comming where i might be gettin a new truck
i currently have a 98 ram 1500 that im hopefully selling tonight

Now my question is how is a 2006 ram 2500 with the hemi?

I know alot of you guys are diesel fans as well as i am but im not looking to buy one or did i really need one. For what i tow and haul this truck should sufice.

Does anyone on here have one that can give me some pros and cons about?
I really do like this truck im looking at the price miles and everything adds up and i drove it and liked it alot. I just wanna make sure im going to be happy with it since ill be paying it off the nex couple of years.

The hemi is a good all around motor and if you find a 2500 in that setup like you want for a good price jump on it. That being said if there is a CTD close to that cost I would possibly jump on that. Maint is higher on the CTD but the service intervals are longer and they run forever so its a toss up.

The hemi is a great motor. If your not doing a lot of hauling I say go for it. Plus you can't beat a solid front axle!!

what they said! ^ the only down side I see is the ride, it is going to be a lot stiffer in a 2500 compared to a 1500.

Yeah i hear ya, well im probally gonna jump on it if mine sells tonight, and im used to a bad ride haha my 98 is lifted and rides horrible lol this thing actually rides better so go figure

I have a 2006,2500 hemi and I love it,no problems hauling,towing, the only thing is the mpg,I get 10 city/17 highway.....

There are lots off good thing present with 2006 ram 2500 it has a good payload and towing capacities, very spacious interior in Mega Cab but the problem with it is Stunted standard bed, cramped rear seat in Quad Cab.
