I've been out of the truck game for a long time. Have wanted a Dodge diesel for a while now. The wife went out and bought a camper and said I guess you need to buy a truck to pull my camper. So now I'm the proud owner of a 2007 Dodge 5.9 diesel, 103000 miles, quad cab, long bed. The only thing done to truck is a K&N intake. Truck runs really good, pulls camper very well.

Here are my questions

1) Filled fuel tank up for the first time. No five miles from gas station the engine light comes on. I turn straight around and go to Advance Auto to have them check the code. The code was a fuel system code that could have been casued by many different things. Anyway it just went off the next day and has stayed off four two weeks. I filled truck up again and not long after that the light came back on. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

2) Truck shifts into 4X4 high easy, 4X4 works good. Truck does not seem to want to go inot 4X4 low. Is there anything special you have to do to get these things to shift into 4X4 low. Wasn't sure if there was a special procedure or not.

Thanks in advance for any reply

not sure on the fuel guage... maybe disconnect both batteries for a hour or so and see what happens after that? let the computer reset.

when you are shifting are you putting it in neutral then shifting in 4low?
when you shift it to 4low what happens? or does nothing happen?

welcome to rf. Also have no clue on the light after fueling up.

I'm pretty sure you have to be stopped to put it in 4 low. Not sure if you have to be in neutral. I have personally never needed 4 low

4x4 shifter shifts straight smooth into 4 high and back. Just feels like it will not move up into 4 low. Shifter feels like it just won't move up. Wasn't sure if there was a special way to do it. I know I probably won't ever need it bit would like to know if it works!!!
