Let me rephrase this. I have a 2003 1500, 5.7 Hemi. It has NO BALLS, will BARELY break the tires loose on dry pavement but still hauls ass on the freeway. All stock except for a cold air intake and a tune with a flashpaq tuner. Any suggestions? Honestly, I want to smoke the rear rubber. .

Use a jackstand and lift up the tire enough to take the weight of the truck off.… that should help. Lol. But on a more serious note. Get a proper custom tune instead of a preloaded tune. Flyin Ryan or Hemifever. Shorty headers and a freer flowing exhaust should help. Long tubes if you can justify that cost. What cold air intake do you have? Most are garbage and don’t actually draw in cold air.

The issue is probably the driver. A knowledgeable driver would have told us what gears and tire size he/she had.

How long have you had the truck? Did this "no balls" symptom just start happening?

Not trying to be a smart*** but I have a '12 R/T that came from the factory with 4.10 gears, 2600 stall converter and anti spin rear differential and it doesn't break traction, it just goes which I really like especially at the drag strip. The traction control works very well I guess. A vehicle that loses traction and smokes the tires will get left in the dust but it does "look" cool! I forgot to add that I have the Vararam CAI and Hemifever tune also.

I’m guessing stock 3.55 gears with 275/55 20’s on the rear, no factory traction control…….oh and 244,000 miles on the motor.

I’ve had it about a year, bought used obviously. And no it’s gotten a little worse. Of course it does have 244,000 miles on it. But seems strong other than that.

Well I know you can trun off traction control but stabilitrak control you can not shut off unless in 4wheel drive. If you have 2wd press and hold the traction control button for at least 30sec. When doing that it shuts off stabilitrak off and it will light up on the dash and ding.

The muffler doesn’t matter. The whole exhaust needs to be freer flowing. Louder doesn’t always mean more power. The stock manifolds and y pipe suck. Shorties and a new high flow y pipe would help. Long tubes and y pipe would be better. Full catback exhaust or custom exhaust from the y pipe back is better too. And a true custom tune works wonder over a flash tune especially with exhaust. And yes. Get rid of that intake or add plumbing to get it in front of the radiator or behind the front bumper. That’s sucking in hot air from the engine bay. You need to get that filter out of the engine bay or install a air box back in and add in some air tubes to draw air from behind the front bumper.

I think you need to swap your rear gear out.
Needs a nice 3.92 gear. Either that, or that engine is tired. lol
