I have a 2004 1500. I'm pretty sure I lost brake lights after removing the stereo headunit. It was an aftermarket receiver and still hooked in to the stock infinity amp. I was replacing the receiver and door speakers, bypassing the factory infinity amp ect...and in the process lost brake lights. All the fuses are fine, I have running lights, all the bulbs are working, I replaced the switch at the brake pedal, all the lights work except the brake lights. The center light on rear of the cab doesn't work either but it wasn't working before this. I don't know how or if the stereo would have anything to do with it but as far as I know they didn't stop working until I removed the receiver. It's my only vehicle and after I got the receiver out I ended up having to go somewhere and while driving down the road someone pulled up next to me and told me I had no brake lights. Or something happened trying to drive it with things unplugged, I think I had most of the controls unplugged like 4WD, temp control, I couldn't get the fan control unplugged. And I hadn't cut any wires yet for the new receiver.
Just looking for some idea's, I'm stumped.
