I was driving yesterday and heard a ding, I looked at the dash and the oil pressure light was on. By the time I saw it the truck had stalled. I tried to restart but it wouldn't crank.

First thing I checked was the oil... full and clean. Coolant was full as well. Temp normal.

Towed home and checked fuses and relays. Battery is fully charged, all lights and radio and dash lights are working.

When I turn the key on the fuel pump hums like it's supposed to, sensors under the hood click like normal. When I try to start there's no crank.

I hit the starter with the handle of a hammer a few times. It has the feature where you just bump the key for a second and it cranks until it starts so I'm not sure if there's a click she I turn the key out not.

Trying not to keep chasing and spending money. An oil pressure sensor was cheap so I have it a shot. Still the same.

It's a 2010 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi

Thanks everyone

Put a socket and ratchet on the crank bolt and see if the engine will turn over by hand, just to rule out it's not seized

You cryptic post lost me there ....So...what are you saying? It doesn't crank, sometimes cranks ...or still not cranking now ...at all ...never once, since it stalled out?

Yeah, hook a wrench to the crank like suggested above, make sure engine isn't locked up. You might want to remove and bench test the starter to rule that out. Good chance the solenoid is worn out if it's original. Also take your battery to the parts store and have a Batt load test done on it. It might read good voltage but TIPM's can act flaky if it's not getting the current it wants to see. Seriously..they can act wonky when a battery gets flaky inside...even if the top voltage reads good on a multi-meter. I've experienced it. There are scores of posts on the subject. And if it turns out your battery is bad, then when you put in a new one, check the alternator is charging.

There are some relays under the relay/fuse box for starter, might swap around. Also go to Youtube and look up WIN Module. If you turn the key on/off 25 times ...does it ever want to crank? Put a little side-pressure on the key this way and that while you keep trying it. If it does then you need to do a DIY on it. There are a lot of WIN Module videos, not only for Ram but Chrysler vans & cars.

If the fuel pump is on I don't think it is win, but I could be wrong on that. I'd go starter. If the battery is old near 5 years I'd just get a new one and not mess with it. If you do a search you will see if needed you can bypass win modules and you will see battery life versus capacity charts and temperature here. Delaware is cold, meaning long life battery, but capacity quickly drains, the reading would likely be wrong, we see it here nearly daily. It is the opposite in the warm, great capacity but short battery life. So you have some places to look, starter and battery, off chance win. If you bypass win you need to use ac outlet, so it turns off with switch.

If jeepwalker right, here is how you can bypass easy and cheap test win... Come to think about it, the oil light coming on could hint at win. If you bypass it and it fixes it, you can look up how to clean win modules.
