My truck has developed an issue where the relay clicks and the accessories come on, but it will not start. I often have to turn the key several times to get it to go. The ignition and neutral safety switches have been replaced. If I disconnect the remote wire connector and jump it to the positive, the truck starts right up. I can't find any issues between the relay panel and column. The column was replaced recently, but this was also happening before. I've seen that people on YT solve this with a momentary on/off switch, but am not sure how safe that method is. Any suggestions?

For anyone else having this happen, the remote wire pin at the column connector may be your problem.

After repairing the loose connection at the plug, the problem persists. The engine will start right up if I jump the remote wire off the battery. And I tested the end coming out of the panel, and it puts out 12v when I turn the key. Completely stumped on this one. Battery tested fine.

Edit: connector was bad. All good now.

Thank you for sharing. My 2010 1500 just started intermittently not starting. Battery is good. Will check the plug!
