So I recently swapped in a rebel interior into my 2013 express. I believe I need the dealer to flash the codes for the heated seats and steering wheel to work. But long story short none of the buttons on the new switch with the trailer brake controller, traction, and heated seats and wheel are working and I am not sure why. I have doubled checked all connectors and they are all plugged in :banghead: what else could it be?

There are no codes availible in your Vin build sheet for the heated seats and wheel. You would need to go through W.I.C to have the codes added to your vin# which is nearly impossible to have done. Most dealers won't even attempt it. Not sure if you did or not but you would also have to change the complete seat harness in order for the heated option to work. I would recommend installing your original switch in the dash and harness if you changed it. It should work fine. Your post says no cruise control is that accurate as well? In any case it would be much easier to install an aftermarket seat heater that try to get the factory ones to work. There is one member on the forum OO/RT who has been able to unlock some codes on his Express by actually going into the BCM program but he is extremely knowledgeable in the field.

well I have a code for steering wheel angle sensor which is shutting my cruise and traction control off. The shop said that the clock spring may have spun while I had the wheel off. I will dig a little deeper tonight. So even if the truck has the harness for the heated steering wheel it mar not be able to be flashed for it?

Oh OK didn't know you changed the wheel that is most likely your problem. It is critical that you don't let the clockspring move. I would recommend removing the wheel and making sure the small plastic tab is in the small hole in the bottom of the steering wheel. If it is in the small hole in the bottom of the wheel it may have spun all the way around either to the left or the right. Hopefully the small plastic tab is not crushed under the steering wheel.

Do you have the light for lost traction on while you are driving? That lit up for me when I had the clock spring misaligned after doing my steering wheel audio controls modification. Do you have the back up camera in your truck? If so the lines will be turned when your wheel is straight also if the clock spring is out of alignment.

There is a different clock spring for the trucks with heated steering wheels did you get the clock spring with the wheel? It really doesn't matter because dealerships won't be able to flash the code for the wheel heater or the seat heater anyway in my experience.
