Time to buy a new trans. I lost reverse in my 2000 ram about 3 months ago and got it rebuilt. Runs great now. Rebuild will run you anywhere from $2500-$3000

Good luck.

Don't go with a used trans. You'll just be in the same boat in the near future.

Your problem is likely the snap ring in the o/d unit. Do not drive it like this or you'll damage your case. If it is just the o/d you can replace just that if your tight on cash.

reverse is a $13 part. sucks that the labor costs so much so yes its time for a rebuild. depending on ur truck and what u got in to it. Go with a rebuild. I wouldnt trust buying a used one. could blow the next day and these trans all have the same common problem
