Anyone know what the cell count is for the OEM catalytic converters on the 4th gen Ram 1500's with the 5.7?

No idea. This question never occurred to me. Just wondering why you are asking.

I just want to get an idea of how restrictive they really are. I found some aftermarket units that look almost identical to the stock units but are are a 400 cell substrate. I'm in California where you have to be sneaky about this kind of stuff.

Length is also a factor as too short of substrate may not get hot enough.
