Ok I did a search on this and didn't find anything.

My '98 F150 has a Line-X spray in that I did when I bought the truck in late '97 and it's IMMACULATE to this day and something I was VERY happy I did.

My question is, is the OEM spray in worth it? Does anyone have it on theirs? I'm not sure how long they've been doing this from the factory so excuse my ignorance, but since this is a lease, I really don't want to spend a lot on modding it for the next owner. :)

I have it in mine. I've only had the truck about four months, so I can't really speak to how well it will hold up. It doesn't seem to be very thick. But it's not a rubbery kind like the aftermarket stuff I've seen. It's like a coat of plastic sprayed on. I recently moved all our furniture and don't have any scratches in it.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't go through a dealer. I lease it through Enterprise Leasing which means they ship it into the dealer like they would for a field manager for Dodge or GM and I drop by and pick it up. They do NOTHING to the vehicle other than pull it off the truck and make it road legal.

We don't have a Line-X dealer here anymore. It's an hour away now. I don't haul that much in the back so I think the OEM will work. Would be nice to see some pics of it though. I don't like wasting dealers time when I know I won't be buying it through them. I'm aware like that! lol

I'm happy with my OEM liner. Seems tough enough. Resistant to chemicals too. Very comparable to other Rhino/Linex liners I have seen in person.

That is pretty good price. We used to charge 460 for over the rail.

Ok so the 475 asking price on the OEM liner is well worth it. I'll go that route.

Thanks all for your replies! I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row so when this truck becomes available, I can order it.

I have the OEM liner. Glad it became an factory option. Seems durable enough. I have a bed cover so it doesn't see the sun so it still looks like new. Although I would go aftermarket route if your going to use the bed alot. It doesn't seem really thick tto hold up to alot of abuse.

Perfect! With my line-x I bought a cheap thick rubber bed mat at the local farm store. I'd probably do the same here.

I have the factory spray-in bed liner and it is listed at $450 on my window sticker.

I am actually going to cover it and put a Bed Rug over the top of it. I have had a bed rug on all my trucks and think it is probably the best thing you can get for your bed unless you are a contractor. I have hauled quads, gravel, sand, lumber, cinder block, bricks, etc.. and even skinned a antelope in the bed when I couldn't find a tree. They hold up very, very well and can easily be pressure washed clean when dirty. They protect the bed and your knees too!

Bed rug looks nice looks like it would make it like a trunk then.
