Hello all. So I've beat my head silly over this one! I have a 2016 Ram 1500 regular cab tradesman that originally did not have an overhead console. I've since added a used overhead console and now need the proper OEM wiring harness for a clean plug and play install. I've scoured the net trying to find a used or even a new one or just the right part number would be great. I'd even settle for just the correct plugs for both ends and only need the ones for the map lights and cup light as I didn't install a home link or compass or rear window slider. Can anyone point me to the correct harness, part number, etc? Not that silly one with the loose wires with brass connectors and no plugs. Thanks all!

Hello all. I put this posting in the audio and electronics but got no replies at all. ADMINISTRATORS, that is why I have put this here, so I can get some replies. Thanks! That's a tough one and the harness may not have an individual pn# as it is not available separately as I believe the only way it comes is attached to the headliner. Other than custom fabricated it would probably have to come from a salvage donor with a damaged headliner. I can tell you that on a RC you need to tap the connectors on the left A pillar, the left B pillar (C pillar on a 4 dr) and possibly the footwell connector by the steering column. Maybe M2 Mods either @DeereGuy or @Mpgrimm2 could help you. They are the BEST at all things wire harness and electric wise.

As likes2build stated the harness is part of the headliner and cannot be purchased separately. M2mods can build you a basic harness if you want or actually include the Homelink/Compass wiring as well. You would also need to enable the codes with the alpha tool for the compass and Homelink to work which is easy to do.

Just an FYI, @DeereGuy was the one that made the overhead /compass module wiring and I'm not sure he still offers it considering his current backlog.

M² Mods.

I cut an opening in the headliner. My truck is a Tradesman regular cab work truck. There were no wires, etc.
