can anybody tell me if the 2001 dodge ram 1500 offroad editon trucks had factory trans coolers?

I cant find anywhere where its says yes or no

I like the 4.10 gears, skid plates, limited slip locker and the rims on the offroad trucks

but I read online it came with a factory trans cooler, and others say they did not

anybody have one that can verify for me? maybe it was a option to add to the off road package?

and also (might be a dumb question) but they all came with 360's correct? the 318 was not a option in a offroad package?

I was under the impression that the trans cooler was an option coupled with the towing package rather than being packaged with a specific model.
As far as the motor option on the offroad model, I do not know. I do know that the eighth digit of the vin# tells you what motor SHOULD be in it. Z is the 5.9 gas, Y is the 5.2 gas.

The ORE trucks were always optioned with the Heavy Duty Service package. If you find one that isn't (by getting a build sheet on it), it is NOT a true ORE truck.
As for engine, you could get an ORE with with V8 and I believe for the 5.2 you could get the NV3500, but those are rare as hens teeth.

Email Dodge for a build sheet that will tell you. I believe ORE's came with 5.2's as well. Where is Okiespaniel he will know lol.

My 2000 ORE is a 5.2 and yes, it came with a factory trans cooler.
