I would like to add some off-road lighting to my 2020 PW. Any thoughts on where to mount the lights? After getting the truck last week and ordering a DB cover, I wish I could swing some Rigid lights but that isn't in the cards at the moment. Pics are greatly appreciated!

p.s. This is more function over fashion as there are way too many animals in these parts that want to commit suicide on the roads, both dirt and asphalt, when the sun goes down. There will be many dark hours on dirt looking for deer, elk, and antelope, when hunting season opens as well.

This isn't a pw but it's my rig. Led cube fog lights is a big advantage. I love them. Sam's as the roof bar. The cubes push far into the ditches and i can see critters coming a long way off. I do alot of night driving and most of it is gravel and snow. It may be ugly but I can see and see good! 600e5f667f70685e8dbb0a9226531b54.jpg

I’m running diode dynamics sae/dot fog lights in my bumper. Possibly going to order hood hinge mounting brackets for side/ditch lighting as well. My led headlights are bright. If you have projectors I’d say an HID upgrade would be good.

Here’s my set up. Baja Designs fog light mount for the bumper and SDHQ a-pillar mount. Lights are all Baja Designs with the fogs wired into the factory fog light switch. I live in Alaska and drive some dark roads in the winter and I’ve been pretty pleased with my setup.

Randy Ellis light bar with KC Highlighters (halogen, 2 narrow beams, 2 flood beams); on the rear, Zroadz LED bumper light kit; and on the A-pillars Unity spotlights.

Thank you for posting!

I am not seeing a Randy Ellis bar for a 2019/2020 Power Wagon.

Might give them a call and see if they plan on releasing one. I stand corrected, you did say 2020 model and there is a major redesign of bumper between GENs.

I used the Rigid Fog Light replacement mount. I run a set of SAE fog lamps and a pair of driving lights. both D-Seris Pro from Rigid.

Just saw on a CJC video they had Baja design squadrons mounted in the fog pocket and retained the factory parking sensors. Very trick. If I had a 20 model I would have to go with route.

Doing this setup but with all white lighting when I get the chance

Though white may look better, there are different lenses that help for different applications. Yellow for fog and red for dust and blue for the snow. (If you are looking for functionality as well) I need/want red covers for my a-pillar lights for my needs. When I lived in CO is was mostly the blue lenses for white out conditions that was needed. Reference the picture I attached.

Yeah, I know there are different color lenses and what they are for. Functionally the best option for me is the clear lenses. The only thing I have to worry about where I live is blowing dust during the summer time so having a red lense cover I can take on and off would be nice. I'm thinking 1 cube on either side will work for normal driving but will have 2 cubes. I'd like to see if there is a way to program the switch so 1 press turns on one cube, 2 presses turns on both cubes, and 3 presses turns them off.

However, looks like Baja doesn't offer lense covers. VisionX doesn't have a set up to work with the 2018 bumper which leaves Rigid Industries. Was hoping Baja would have them since they sell the mount and lights as a kit.

After clicking around on Vision X,Rigid and Baja Designs websites for a while now I pulled the trigger and ordered a pair of Baja Designs Xl Sports in white with their A pillar mounts and a 20” inch BD S8 bar in Amber I’m going to grill mount under the RAM.

Those fog pockets are slick and may be in the future though.
