I registered today on the Mopar website & when I pumped in my Vin# for my 6.4L 2500 it showed some weird stuff under the standard & options page. Like 6,000 pound front axle & 5.2 additional gallons of gas? Also showed in a different section that max towing was 12,843 where everything I have looked up it was 12,630 with the 3.73 gears. That doesn't really matter anyway since I have changed to 4.56's. Has anyone else gone & done this?

The 6000 lb front axle is correct and the 5.2 extra gallons of gas is the actual gas they put it an the factory.

Ok... everything that I have looked at had my front axle rated at 5,500.

I apologize. My build sheet says 6000 lb as well.

But I stand corrected as my door tag does say 5500.

Interesting. Sorry for the oversight.

But the gas is correct lol

Both are coming out of the mouth of Ram so no telling what it really is.

You have to remember these build sheets show "standard" equipment which is a base starting point for all trucks and is superseded by optional equipment or packages.

For instance my build sheet says I have standard 3.73 gearing, however when I added a cummins it goes to a 3.42, but the 3.73 still shows on the build sheet as a starting point. Same for towing weight etc. You need to go by what is on the door of your vehicle. That is correct per the options you have.
