Have been reading about oil catch cans and was thinking about putting one on my 2016 ram 5.7 hemi Laramie. Was reading about some product brands Mopar don't make one so what is a good one for my truck. also I don't know if it effects the warranty on the engine if installed. but from what Ive seen on video you really don't want that gunk going into your throttle body and heads. If anyone has a any thing to say about the oil catch can idea good or bad let me know thanks.

Check the parts diagrams, but I think your 2016 may already have an air/oil separator. Sort of works the same way, but designed with emissions in mind.

I get like half a canister of oil every 3 to 4 thousand miles

Guess that is keeping my throttle body cleaner

i have one, i recommend it, if i had to take my truck in for anything engine related like an unusual noise that i thought was internal, i'd pull it for the visit. would take me about 10-15 minutes to pull it and i still have the old pcv to throttle body tube in a bag under my rear seat storage.

Totally worth it. Every time you empty the can you will see how much of a worth while investment it is. We offer and highly recommend the UPR catch can. message me for more info and special forum pricing

This is a 4th gen question in the 3g section which may make for some confusion as 3g's don't need a catch can. And there really isn't a easy way to install one without modifying the pcv. With that said, I've installed one on my 3g and all it did was make condensation. Not good... quickly removed it..

it "made" condensation? how's that? All I'd expect it to do is "collect" condensation.

The warm crank case air circulating through the hoses created condensation. I made a fitting to replace the pcv valve connecting the crankcase to a hose, connected to the catch can, with a second hose connected to the inlet pipe. This was on my 03 when it was still na.. It was a surprisng efficient water maker. I'll see if I can find a picture.
